Fun on the Slopes of the Stubaital
Skiing and snowboarding fun can start after a mere 3-minute walk from our charming apartments Möderndorfer. Explore the well-prepared slopes of the largest ski resort in this area, the marvellous Schlick 2000 (1,600-2,200 m) ski area. Enjoy the many different slopes varying in all levels of difficulty, the speed-slope, the height measurements by Skiline, the Free Nature Park or even the powder slopes in the backcountry.
All young ski racers thrive in the children's ski area and always love the funny mascot BIG Ron. Child carers are available for children as young as 3 months of age, and all can have great fun in this lovely setting. Charming alpine huts are perfectly suited for a quick rest and a hearty meal or snack before venturing back out into the winter wonderland. Due to the fantastic location of the ski resort Schlick 2000, this area boasts spectacular snow conditions usually starting as early as November and lasting until mid to late April.
The Stubaital valley includes 3 further top-class ski resorts for all guests to explore. The majestic Stubai Glacier is the largest all-year-round ski resort in all of Austria. There is so much to experience at these heights, and the lift is only approximately 30 minutes from our Apartments Möderndorfer guesthouse. Another fantastic ski area is the Hochserles ski resort, which is only 4 kilometres from our accommodation, and offers a wealth of exciting activities besides skiing and snowboarding such as ski mountaineering and snow-shoe trekking. Last but surely not least, the ski resort Elfer, which is approximately 9 kilometres from our house, offers spectacular fun for the entire family as well as the longest natural toboggan track in all of Tyrol for a thrilling ride back down into the valley. All of these fantastic ski resorts are easily accessible with the free ski busses.
