Fun on the Slopes of the Stubaital
Skiing and snowboarding fun can start after a mere 3-minute walk from our charming apartments Möderndorfer. Explore the well-prepared slopes of the largest ski resort in this area, the marvellous Schlick 2000 (1,600-2,200 m) ski area. Enjoy the many different slopes varying in all levels of difficulty, the speed-slope, the height measurements by Skiline, the Free Nature Park or even the powder slopes in the backcountry.
Follow the Tracks
For an extra special winter adventure, all active holiday makers can explore the serene winter landscape of the Stubaital valley along the cross-country ski tracks. With tracks for classical-style skiers as well as skaters, everybody can enjoy the 62 kilometres of well-maintained cross-country ski tracks available at all levels of difficulty and even at elevated positions. One of the highlights is the illuminated track in Milders, which allows all skiers to go cross-country skiing after the sun has already set. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the breath-taking ambience.
Winter Hiking and Tobogganing
The stunning Stubaital valley is Tyrol's premier destination for all toboggan enthusiasts with a total of 43 kilometres of tracks. 12 of the toboggan tracks here have been awarded the Tyrolean seal of quality for natural toboggan tracks. The tracks of the Elfer lifts, called Elfer-Dorf Neustift and Elfer-Pinnistal, are the longest tracks in all of Tyrol at a length of 8 kilometres eachj, and lead you through the charming forests in the snow-covered winter landscape.
Ice Skating, Ice Climbing, and Curling
Ice skating is great fun and a delightful change of pace for any winter's day. Skate along the ice at the sheltered ice skating rink and enjoy the weekly ice-disco with current music and fun lighting.
